The regionally held meetings General Annual Meetings of Farm Credit Armenia UCO CC launched from June 8 and lasted till June 30. The meetings have been held in 7 marzes of Armenia – Armavir, Ararat, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, Vayots Dzor, Syunik and Tavush.
The agenda and the other materials of the meeting had been published in the FCA’s website for the member-shareholders in advance.
The CEO/President of FCA Mr. Armen Gabrielyan represented a report on the CO’s main events and developments of 2015. He also gave the member shareholders basic information about the US Farm Credit System, spoke about the international and local partners of the company, etc.
The report of Mr. Gabrielyan was followed by Mr. Mushegh Petrosyan’s speech (Deputy CEO/COO). In his speech he talked about the applications received for the membership FCA had during 01.03.2015 – 31.03.16. The member shareholders unanimously confirmed the entry of the new shareholders.
The next two questions which concerned the cooperative membership fees and shareholding fees, were represented by Mr. Mesrop Avagyan (Head of Internal Audit).
The financial report of the cooperative was presented by Mrs. Lusine Papyan (Chief Accountant) and Mrs. Ani Sargsyan (Deputy CEO/Chief Financial Officer). The guest of the meetings, Qnar Petrosyan (Grant Thornton) represented the conclusion of Grant Thornton Audit Company about FCA.
Completing the speech of the management of FCA the Boards Members shared their thoughts, remarks and words of gratitude. Mainly, they spoke about the importance of the cooperation between the farmers and their cooperative.
The last part of the meetings was dedicated to the questions of the member-shareholders. The attendees discussed several questions concerning the loan interest rates, long term crediting, and the role of the government in the development of agriculture, etc. with the management of FCA.
