On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the independence declaration, by the decree of the president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan Ananya Shirakatsi medals were awarded to honorary representatives contributed to preservation of Armenian identity from Syuniq region, including FCA Board Chairman, head of Khndzoresk community Seryoja Hayrapetyan. 
The medals were awarded by the chairman of the constitutional court of Armenia Gagik Harutunyan during the ceremonial meeting in the hall of Kapan culture center.
