“Farm Credit Armenia” UCO CC hosted trainers from the Texas A&M University Dr. John Penson and Chief Risk Officer of Opportunity International Lynn Exton, March 11-13, 2013. The aim of the visit was conducting workshops and trainings for FCA Board of Directors and top management team.
Within the scope of the trainings the following topics were discussed: board governance, risk management, the roles and responsibilities of board members, risk assessment, risk appetite, as well as the aims and objectives of a strategic business program, its aims and objectives, necessary amendment spheres, compatibility with FCA risk appetite and annual business plan.
The purpose of the workshop was to share international knowledge and practice with FCA staff. Those three days of seminars were highly efficient and productive. The methods that were used to conduct the workshop include round table discussions, case studies, and interactive discussions.
