On October 20, the only credit cooperative in the country Farm Credit Armenia, celebrated its fifteenth anniversary.
Working in a competitive market, Farm Credit mainly provides agricultural and SME loans in RA regions, making loans through its nine regional offices.
On October 20, the opening ceremony of the new head office was also held, which, being located on the main road connecting two marzes with the capital, will provide an opportunity to carry out lending in Yerevan and its neighboring regions.
Farm Credit also provides leasing of agricultural machinery, energy saving and other types of equipments to SMEs.
The event was attended by members-shareholders of the cooperative, partners of the organization, both from Armenia and abroad.
The cooperative was founded in 2007 by 57 farmers and now has 9,700 members. The total capital of the credit cooperative is about 2.2 billion AMD, and the assets are about 15.2 billion AMD.
